KABAGARAME PORK MARKET TRADERS CAN NEVER GET TITLE –MAYOR KAMUGASHA

The Mayor for Bushenyi -Ishaka municipality his worship Jackson Kamugasha has vowed that Kabagarame traders will not get a title for the land the market sits on noting that the land belongs to the municipality.

The traders recently formed a group to secure a title for a land on which the market sits.

Kamugasha said this today 23^rd Sept.2019 in an exclusive interview with www.mknewslink.com  managing editor at his office in Bushenyi- Ishaka municipality.

Mayor Kamugasha’s arch political rival and a stakeholder in an advisor to Kabagarame traders Richard Byaruhanga said that Kabagarame traders must get a title in their names but not in municipality’s name.

Byaruhanga noted that most of the processes on the title for Kabagarame traders are in advanced stages adding that he is not to reveal them to media to avoid Kamugasha blocking them.

Kabagarame is a greater western Uganda pork market that serves people every Saturday with well spiced pork.

Recently, Manfred Muhumuza won a court case against Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality for snatching his Ishaka park land.

In compensation, the court ordered that Kabagarame and other municipal properties be sold to cover up the costs and pay for the  taxi parkland.

However, residents led by their area MP Gordon Arinda Cowboy protested against the move in a demonstration and petitioned the president to save their market.
