KABALE HEADMASTER DEFILES HIS PUPIL

Police in Kabale district is holding the headteacher Bukinda primary
school in Kabale district for allegedly defiling a 14 year old P7 candidate at
his school.

It alleged that yesterday, at around 2:00 in Nyaruhanga cell,
Nyakajara parish Kyanamira Sub County Kabale district, Julius Mugarura
was cited with the girl having canal knowledge.

The Kigezi Region police Spokesperson Elly Maate says that concerned
locals informed police and arrested Mugarura.

Maate has described the incident as unfortunate saying that school
heads are supposed to work as parents to protect rights of young girls
rather than seducing them into sex.

Maate says that police has initiated investigations and after he will
be aligned in court to answer charges aggravated defilement.
