KABALE HOSPITAL STRANDED WITH THREE ABANDONED TODDLERS

Authorities at Rugarama hospital in Kabale Municipality are stranded with three children who were abandoned by their mothers. The three children are aged between 6months to 1 year of age.
According to the In-charge pediatric ward Rugarama hospital Ivan Sunday, on 5th May 2017, premature boy was picked from Rushambya in Kirigime ward Kabale municipality and was later taken to Rugarama hospital. They child has been named Mugisha.
Sunday said that another child called Jonathan was picked from Kaharo sub county Kabale district. He was abandoned in someone’s home by his mother in a laptop bag on 23rd March this year.
He also said that another child was brought to the hospital by his father
claiming that he wife had divorced him and he could not look after two
children on 9th April this year. The child is messiah and he is from Kamwezi sub county Rukiga district.
He is calling on interested parties to approach the office of Kabale district probation to adopt the children.
Child abandoning has become rampant in Kigezi region, on Tuesday, a woman killed her new born baby and buried it in a garden.
