KABALE JOURNALISTS RECEIVE 200KGS OF RICE FROM KYANKWANZI DEPUTY RDC

The Deputy Resident District Commissioner Kyakwazi Denis Nzeirwe on Wednesday gave 200 kilograms of rice to Journalists through Kabale district COvid19 Task force.
The donation was handed over to the Kabale district Covid19 task force after a weekly task force meeting held at national teachers college Kabale, Kabale Municipality.
Denis Nzeirwe revealed that he realized that despite being at the frontline of fighting the deadly virus through informating the public, journalists have been left out of the bracket of those to receive government food aid yet many need it.
Nzeirwe added that after receiving an appeal on television by Uganda Journalists Association President, Bashir Kazibwe Mbaziira to help journalists, he managed to look for 200 kilograms of rice to support journalists in Kabale district.
He further asked well-wishers to give a helping hand to journalists in this trying moment as the effects of the deadly virus bite hard.
Darius Nadinda the Kabale district covid19 chairperson who is also the Kabale Resident District Commissioner, commended Denis Nzeirwe for the offer to the fourth estates in this covid19 Pandemic.
He emphasized that the donations should be taken to the district task force to avoid inconveniences in the public.
Uganda’s confirmed Covid-19 cases currently stand at 63 after a two Tanzanian truck drivers tested positive on Tuesday evening.
