KABALE KIDNAP VICTIM RECOVERED

Police in Kabale district recovered the five and half year’s boy a live who went missing on the 03rd May 2018 from Mayengo cell Kiniogo ward Katuna town council.
The child is Pemba Princekola, the son to Anthony Masiga, the clearing agent with Shift Cargo Services at Katuna Boarder. He was kidnapped in Mayengo cell, Katuna town council at 7:30pm.
The victim was playing with other children when the kidnapper lured him with 3,000 shillings and asked him to accompany him to the shop. It is the when the kidnapper rode him on a bicycle and disappeared.
According to Kigezi region police spokes person Elly Maate, family members registered the matter at Katuna police station for help after whereabouts of the victim remained untraceable.
Maate said that though the kidnapper had disguised in the name of Arineitwe and calling from Kanungu district, police tracked the phone using Global Positioning System-GPS and confirmed that he is in Lyakarimira town council.
Maate said that this is a luck that the victim was found alive though the kidnapper had vowed to kill him if the parents hesitate to fulfill seven million shillings ransom.
He added that the Kwarikunda was seriously beaten and is being admitted at Kabale regional referral hospital for treatment under police surveillance adding that he will appear before court to answer the charges accordingly after investigations into the matter are complete.
