By Grant Ahumuza
Kabale municipality mayor Byamugisha sentaro has threatened to drag to court the founder of Urban Right network Sam Tindimwebwa Kanyamukiza a resident of Nyakambu village southern division Kabale municipality over defamation on social media platforms.
Sam Tindimwebwa Kanyamukiza has already shown interest of contesting as the mayor of Kabale municipality in the forthcoming 2021 General elections a seat which is currently occupied by Byamugisha sentaro.
In his letter of intention to sue dated 26th June 2020, signed by his lawyers of Byamukama & co advocates, Byamugisha sentaro gave Sam Tindimwebwa five days to delete posts as well as write an apology and again pay him ugx 200 million or face the courts of law.
Byamugisha Sentaro claims that the urban rights network boss Sam Tindimwebwa Kanyamukiza has been posting on his social media platforms that he sold off the Kabale municipal ward as well as participating in the extortion of money and illegal sale of Kabale quarters plots.
When contacted on the matter, Sam Tindimwebwa Kanyamukiza told www.mknewslink.com reporter that he is living in fear after receiving threats from Kabale municipality mayor Byamugisha Sentaro.
Tindimwebwa also explained that on sale of government properties by municipality mayor, he has enough proof noting that concerned citizens of Kabale municipality have already dragged Kabale municipality to court for selling off Kabale municipal yard.
He however challenged the letter saying that he is not ready to delete any post as well as apologizing to Kabale municipality mayor Byamugisha Sentaro but he is instead ready to face courts of the law.
