KABALE MUNICIPAL COUNCILORS PAY TRIBUTE TO FALLEN MAYOR, DR. RUHEMURANA

Kabale Municipality councilors have expressed appreciation for the late former Kabale Municipality Mayor, Dr. Pius Ruhemurana. he was a diehard of FDC and passed away on Wednesday at approximately 2 pm at Rugarama Hospital.
The tribute to honor Dr. Pius Ruhemurana was offered during a special session of the council, presided over by Speaker Byamukama Deogratias, on Thursday at the Kabale Municipality council hall.
Speaker Mr. Byamukama Deogratias commended him for his significant contributions to the development of Kabale Municipality, highlighting his dedication to assisting women in the Kabale district through his profession.
Kabale Municipality Mayor Byamugisha Sentaro paid tribute to the late mayor, acknowledging him as a friend to many and recognizing his profound impact on the development of Kabale Municipality.
Mayor Sentaro emphasized the loss of a remarkable individual who made substantial contributions to the municipality.
Several LC4 councilors, including Anteri Twahirwa, Joweria Kakokoza, and Izongoza Margret, lauded the late mayor as a mentor, a supporter of government initiatives, and a unifier of religions in Kabale.
Kabale Municipality MP, Dr. Nicholas Thaddaeus Kamara, described the late mayor as an influential figure who persuaded him to enter politics. He also spoke fondly of Ruhemurana’s familial love.
The late Ruhemurana will be laid to rest today at his residence in Kashumuruzo cell, Kitanga Parish, Kashambya sub-county, Rukiga district
