KABALE NIRA OFFICES BROKEN INTO,COMPUTERS ,VITAL DOCUMENTS STOLEN

Unidentified thugs on Tuesday night broke into the offices of National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) Kabale branch.
The offices located on Mutambuka road in central division Kabale Municipality, serves the districts of Kabale, Rukiga and Rubanda.
A staff who preferred anonymity said that they were shocked when they reported for work yesterday morning only to find two computers and vital documents missing.
He said that the thieves could have used the behind window or the gate to gain access into the offices
.
The watchman who was on duty was arrested by police to help in investigations.
Norman Nsenga the NIRA greater Kabale District Information Technology officer declined to give a comment when contacted by our reporter.
The police tried to use a sniper dog but all in vain because it could not truck anyone.
Last week, the yet to be identified thugs also broke into Kabale university computer laboratory and the office of the academic registrar stealing about 16 computers.
The Kigezi regional police spokes person Afande Elly Maate confirmed the incident and he said that investigations are underway.
