KABALE POLICE ARREST THREE SUSPECTS ON ALLEGATIONS OF MURDERING FAMILY MEMBER

Police in Kabale District is currently holding three suspects on allegations of murdering one of their family member over family conflicts.
The deceased has been identified as Byaruhanga Sam alias Kirasha aged 51years a mukiga by tribe, a peasant resident of Birunga village Nyanja parish Maziba sub-county, Kabale district.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Region police spokesperson said that, on the 29/04/2023, at around 08:00am, the deceased left home and went for the savings group at Kigarama neighboring village.
Maate revealed that from there the deceased never reported back home, and on 30/04/2023, at around 07:30pm, when the wife of the deceased identified as Akampereza Peace was planning to go and start tracing for her husband, she saw Bruce a son to the sister in-law of the deceased and other three, carrying the dead body bringing it home.
Maate confirmed that, the deceased wife asked them why they have picked the dead body from the scene without informing the authority, the 3 suspect said that, they know he has died of natural death.
It’s further alleged that, the family of sister in-law to the deceased have been having conflict for long time, as they have been alleging that the deceased bewitches them to lose their wealth thus being suspected for causing his death.
Police visited the scene and the body was retrieved from the home of the deceased and taken to Kabale referral hospital for postmortem to ascertain cause of death while investigations still going on.
Police Spokesperson noted that cases of murder were registered at kabale police station in Kabale District under reference number CRB: 329/2023.
