KABALE RESIDENTS DECRY POOR SANITATION, ROADS AND HIGH CRIME RATE

KABALE
A cross section of residents in Kabale Municipality have raised an alarm over the increased crime rate in the municipality, poor sanitation and the state of roads in their area
This was revealed in a stakeholder meeting organized by Kabale Municipal council authorities and Central division Authorities at the division headquarters in Kigonji central division Kabale Municipality Kabale District.
Speaking to our reporter at the division headquarters, the residents were also concerned about the worrying state of sanitation at the municipal abattoir
Charles Bisati the chairperson lc1 of Kanyakiriro cell attributed insecurity and the prevalent high crime rate in the area to shortage of security lights.

Arinaitwe was further concerned about the intermittent power supply to Kabale and said he had already approached UMEME over the same
He promised to deal with the marijuana smokers around the area abattoir who carry out robberies .

The Kabale Municipal Mayor Byamugisha Sentaro said that they have a small budget that cannot work on all the roads in the municipality at once.
On poor quality murum used on the municipal roads, Byamugisha said that he has nothing to do , since the works are approved by the municipal engineer
The Kabale District Resident District commissioner Godfrey Nyakahuma through the District Intelligence security officer Mr. Mutabazi Reuben pledged to hold a meeting with security stakeholders to address matter concerning crime and security that were raised during the meeting
