KABALE TYCOON, MONEY CHANGER BATARE DIES OF COVID 19

In Kabale—

The Chief Executive Officer of Kings hotel in Kabale district Christopher Batare has died of the deadly COVID-19.

Batare is the founder and Chief Executive Officer CEO of a well-known Kings Hotel located opposite Police Barracks in Kabale municipality.

Christopher has many investments in Kabale Municipality which employ so many people around the area.

The money changer based in Kabale town and the Uganda- Rwanda border Katuna passed on Sunday evening due to COVID-19 that he has battled for some time.

Batare was well known for carrying money in sacks and according to his Facebook account; he was born on 24th January, 1963.

The death of Batare comes a few days after the loss of Bishop Johnson Bakashaba, another public figure in Kabale M.unicipality.

Uganda has to date lost 903 people to COVID-19; other 51,348 have fully recovered as 1,230 patients are still battling the scourge in different health facilities
