KABALE WOMAN MURDERED BY UNKNOWN ASSAILANTS

Police in Kabale are investigating circumstances under which a 46 year old woman was murdered by unknown people.

Kigezi regional police spokesperson Elly Maate identified the deceased as Jackline Kyomugisha a resident of Runyanjoka cell, Kitumba parish, Kitumba subcounty, Kabale district.

Kyomugisha who has been fetching water for a living was last seen by her cousin brother on 13/12/2021 at around 20:00hrs in Runyanjoka trading centre while carrying a Jerrycan of water.

Maate narrated that the deceased was today morning at around 06:50hrs found lying lifeless in the tree plantation of Ahimbisibwe Tarsisio.

The police were immediately informed by Chairperson LC1 Runyanjoka cell, Kitumba parish, Kitumba subcounty Tumushabe John Bosco

Police visited the Scene with Homicide team and the body of the deceased was conveyed to Kabale regional referral hospital mortuary for postmortem.

Police registered a case of murder vide sd ref: 22/14/12/2021.
