KABAROLE COOPERATIVE SOCIETIES WANT GOVERNMENT TO IMPROVE ON ROAD NETWORK

Members of Cooperative from different sub counties including Bukuku, Rutete, Kiwamba and others have asked government to improve on their roads thus easy transport for their produces to markets.
Speaking to www.mknewslink.com members said that roads in their areas are in poor state thus hindering them to transport their produces to markets which has made them incur losses.
The members disclosed that majority of them are in saving groups where they get loan but they hardly pay back money in time due to failure to go to markets to sell their products because of poor road network.
They said that some borrow money for agriculture, vending food, and other merchandises.
The office of the prime minister under the program of parish community association which they commended to donate for them money has given Shs230M to over 100 groups in Burahya county Kabarole district.
According to Apecho Patrick from the Prime Ministers Office, said that this program started in 2016 in 12 counties in the country including Burahya County.
He noted that every group at a parish level is supposed to get 30M shillings which are refundable within the period of two years.
He added that, this program will help in all districts that fought in the NRA war.
Among the districts that have benefited include Kabarole, Ntoroko, Bunyangabu,Wakiso, Kasese, among others.
Margaret Mugisa Muhanga the Mp Burahya County who is said to have lobbied the fund from Prime Ministers Office asked beneficiaries to utilize well the money.
