Police in Fort portal have arrested over 50 suspected wrong doers who have been terrorizing Fort Portal municipality and Kabarole district by stealing their properties.

According to the Rwenzori West Police community liaison officer Solomon Mugisa, the suspects were arrested in a three day night patrol during the weekend.

They were arrested from places of Kisenyi, Kagote, Kasusu, Kichuleta,

Kitumba ,Bukwali and Kamengo.

 Mugisa said that the suspects have been arrested following several animal theft, burglary, grabbing phones and bags from women among other.

During an operation, Apollo Musinguzi alias Kanyankole alleged to have been coning people in Fort Portal was arrested from his hide outs in Kitumba.

It is alleged that police have been hunting for the suspect after he had coned 35M shillings from a woman in Fort portal municipality and was arrested.

Meanwhile Mugisa has stated that the operations are ongoing thus urging people to move with their identity cards whenever moving at night.
