KABAROLE SCHOOLS CLOSED OVER LACK OF REQUIREMENTS

Following the ministry of education directive to close all schools that don’t meet required standards, the resident district commissioner for Kabarole district Steven Asiimwe has closed six schools in Kasenda sub county Kabarole district.
Among the schools that have been closed include Muwezi Nursery and primary school,Aunt Susan one and 2nd schools,Eden Secondary school, HolinessArk Nursery and primary school and Christian ModelRwankezi.
According to the RDC, the closed schools could not meet the required minimum standards including the certificate of approval to operate.
The RDC said that the schools were found in a sorry state, no latrines, hence poor learning environment.

He added that some schools had structures with cracks;threatening to hit the children where some had unqualified teachers and among other requirements.
Asiimwe however vowed to close all schools operating in the district without license.
Meanwhile immediately after the schools closure, the disgruntled pupils of Muwezi nursery and primary school, expressed their dissatisfaction, claiming that they had already paid their school fees worth 25000shs.
The pupils said that the head teacher had promised them that the administration will sort out the issues with the ministry after getting information the schools closure.
