KABALEGA SEC. SCHOOL STUDENTS ARRESTED FOR STEALING SCHOOL PROPERTY

Police are holding three students of Kabalega secondary school in Masindi district on allegations of stealing school properties.
The arrested students are; Laston Baguma S.3, Derrick Musiime and Earnest Tuhaise both from S4.
The district police-community liaisons officer Peter Mukasa told www.mknewslink.com that the students were arrested yesterday after selling the school’s metallic desks worth millions of shillings to scrap material dealers in Kijura south cell in Masindi central division, Masindi municipality.
Mukasa revealed that the students were arrested along with Guti Jaliru and Abdul Wasswa, both scrap material dealers in Kijura cell who had reportedly bought the desks.
He revealed that the students and the scrap material dealers would be taken to court to answers charges that will be preferred against them.
Happy Innocent, a teacher in charge of quality assurance at Kabalega secondary school confirmed the students’ arrest revealing that they were arrested following a tip off from other students.
The teacher added that the stolen items were also recovered during a police raid on the scrap dealers’ premises.
