KABWOHE HC IV IN CHARGE RUNS INTO HIDING AFTER COURT ORDERS FOR HIS ARREST OVER ASSAULTING JOURNALIST

Kabwohe health Centre IV in charge Dr. Davis Asiimwe has run into hiding after court issued a warrant to arrest.

Dr. Asiimwe is accused of assaulting Sheikh Abdurhatifu a TV west reporter causing malicious damage.

After many times of Dr. Devis Asiimwe missing to appear in court to answer charges of Assault and Malicious damage, Bushenyi Court on 2^nd March 2021 released a warrant to arrest him.

However, Sheik Abdulataff told www.mknewslink.com that since the release of the warrant of arrest, the doctor has abandoned work, gone into hiding and was yesterday taken by the health Centre ambulance to Mbarara.

He added that the police are still hunting for him so that he is arrested and brought to court to answer relevant charges.

Dr. Davis Asiimwe allegedly assaulted Sheikh Abdurhatif a vision group journalist over reporting a story that the doctor had given ARVS to a patient one Faridah Kiconco when she was not HIV positive.

Dr. Asiimwe tested Kiconco in 2011 and told her that she was HIV positive but later in 2017 tested HIV negative.

It is alleged that the ARVS she took changed color plus causing abdominal pains all the time.
