KAHIGI ELECTED KYAPS BOARD CHAIRPERSON

Kyamuhunga Peoples Cooperative Savings and Credit society LTD yesterday elected Paul Kahigi Turyamureeba as their board chairman.
He was elected unopposed after Sarapio Owokundo withdrew from the race having released that Kahigi would defeat him.
In his acceptance speech, Kahigi called upon members of the SACCO to work together to address challenges that the SACCO is currently facing.
Kahigi replaced Rev. Fr. Diido Nshekanimanya whose term in office expired yesterday. Other members elected included Medirag Kamadhi, Sarapio Owokunda.
KYAPS made profits worth 898,036,387 despite the challenges related to COVID 19.
The SACCO acting general manager Atwijukire John Bosco called upon members to continue supporting the bank adding that it is theirs.
He revealed that members who had loans and were affected by COVID19 will be followed and handled case by case without harassing them but giving them grace period.
