KAMPALA CAR -HIRE COMPANY OWNER ARRESTED IN NTUNGAMO OVER MURDER, ROBBERY

Police in Ntungamo are holding a Kampala based car-hire company owner to assist in investigating several cases of robbery and murder.
The suspect whose names have been withheld for security purposes was arrested after a car he allegedly hired out was used in different criminal acts and later abandoned on the road.
According to Ntungamo OC CID Godes Twinamatsiko the suspect came to Police on Tuesday demanding for impounded vehicle a Toyota Wish Reg No UBJ 589P.
Twinamatsiko told www.mknewslink.com that the suspect claims to have hired out the vehicle for a week to Saif Ahamed who said was going to Western Uganda on August 17.
The vehicle is suspected to have been involved in the robbery and murder of a teacher from Kabale district who was teaching at Rwentobo whose body was found dumped at Omungyenyi on August 18.
On August 19, occupants of the vehicle robbed Dr. Triphon Mugisha, a renowned Ntungamo medic of UShs 5M.
Dr. Mugisha was followed from DFCU bank where he had withdrawn the money, his vehicle broke into and the money was taken from his vehicle in the middle of Ntungamo town.
Following the incident, residents and police followed the robbers who abandoned the vehicle at Nyeihanga in a bush.
Twinamatsiko says police is still hunting for the key suspects who may also have committed other different crimes.
