KAMPALA CITY BACK TO NORMAL, BOBI WINE STILL DETAINED

Opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as singer Bobi Wine is still in detention following his arrest on Wednesday in Luuka district as he campaigned for January’s presidential election.
The arrest came shortly after police released a statement warning candidate against violating COVID-19 guidelines. The world epidemic has quietly affected the population with deaths and several others infected.
Chaos erupted as supporters of the National Unity Platform party gathered in the capital, Kampala, chanting Wine’s name and setting fires. Police responded with tear gas and live bullets to disperse the crowds. Although Bobi is still incarcerated the country is peaceful.
Meanwhile President Yoweri T Museveni has warned that no presidential candidate will be allowed to flout the COVID-19 guidelines. He said maximum force will be used to enforce the guidelines. He was speaking from Moroto where is currently campaigning from.
Tibuhaburwa has advised the greater north of Uganda to adapt substance farming to fight poverty. He said government has put in place incentives to support their farming enterprises through NAADS among other interventions.
