KANUNGU RESIDENTS PANIC AS DEAD BODY EXHUMED

Police is Kanungu district is investigating circumstances under which unknown people exhumed the body of the late Stephen Mukombe in Kameme cell, Kibimbiri parish, Kihihi Sub County.

According to the Kigezi region police spokes person Elly Maate, last night, the unknown people dug up Mukombe’s grave, put the coffin on the ground but left the body intact.
Maate revealed that Mukombe was murdered on 30th October last year on allegations of rain making where six suspects whose names have been withheld in order not to interfere with police investigations were committed to high court for trial.
Maate condemned the act and said police is investigating to establish who was behind it and for which intentions as arrangements to rebury the body are underway.
