KANUNGU: THREE ARRESTED FOR MURDERING BIOLOGICAL MOTHER

Police in Kanungu district are holding three men on allegations of killing their mother.
The arrested are; Yonah Ngorogoza, Jorry Asiimwe and another only identified as Herbert.
The suspected were arrested after Margaret Mugisha aged 60 years, a resident of Ibarya cell Kihanda parish Kirima Sub County in Kanungu district was found dead on 22nd February 2019 in her house.
According to the local council one chairperson of Ibarya cell Jesica Tindimwebwa, she was informed by one of the suspects identified as Herbert that the two grandchildren of the deceased didnot have where to sleep after they returned home, found the house locked and their grandmother was nowhere to be seen.
Tindimwebwa said that when they opened the door, they found her dead, hanging with a rope in the neck and she also had signs of violence on her body.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson said that the three were arrested for questioning since they have had a land dispute.
Maate also said that they were arrested after the post-mortem that was done at Kanungu health centre IV showed that Mugisha was murdered by strangling.
