KARYAIJA ISSUES: KADAGA VOWS TO INTERVENE IMMEDIATELY

The speaker of Parliament Rebecca Alitwara Kadaga has assured the people of Mitooma that she will intervene collectively in the issues of their District Chairman Benon Karyaija who has been censured three years ago and the case has been pending in the court of appeal since then.

“I didn’t know that the chairman was still out of office, I know him as a hard working person. Am going to intervene and follow it up urgently,” Kadaga told a mammoth crowd.

The promise of intervention by Kadaga came after the Mp for Ruhinda County Capt. Donozio Kahonda Mugabe appealed to her during the function at Kanyamuyanga Catholic church during a thanks giving for Kahonda and family.

Kadaga flew to Mitooma today 24^th Nov. to preside over the thanks giving where Capt. Kahonda was thanking God for making him able to graduate the first class degree in public administration and management from Bugema University.

He was also thanking God for curing his parents who were suffering from pneumonia and blood pressure and also thanking God for making him remain the MP for Ruhinda County despite numerous arrests engineered by his opponent Maj. Gen. Kahinda Otafiire.

Capt. Kahonda told speaker Kadaga that there is a vacuum in Mitooma for their district chairman who was censured by Councilors after having been given money by Maj. Gen. Kahinda Otaffire due to the fact that Karyaija never supported him and instead supported him (Kahonda) who was the NRM flag bearer.

He added that Karyaija scored 85% in the country hence being the highest country wide, therefore the speaker Kadaga should help him to be reinstated in his seat and fight corruption that is eating up Mitooma District of now.

Karyaija told a mammoth crowd that came for Kahonda’s thanks giving that despite the challenges, he is going to re-contest for the Mitooma district chairmanship come 2020 NRM primaries where he optimistically said he will win it.
