KARYEIJA RE-OCCUPIES HIS MITOOMA OFFICE AMIDST HUGE CELEBRATIONS

The embattled Mitooma district chairman; Benon Karyeija has been welcomed by hundreds of supporters at Kashenyi trading centre who escorted him to his office at Mitooma district headquarters.
Led by Ruhinada county MP; Donozio Kahonda, a mammoth of supporters accompanied Karyeija to his office while jubilating.
Still, Karyeija is now a happy man after high court in Kampala decided that he remains the district boss until the determination of the application.
He lodged an application in high court for judicial review of the tribunal report on which the district councilors based to impeach him.
Karyeija who was censured by his district councilors on July 24, 2017 over counts of office abuse, lodged an application in high court seeking an injunction order restraining the district councilors from taking any prejudicial action against him.
Through his lawyers; Alex Kibandama and Paul Tusubira ,Karyeija successfully obtained the court order allowing him to re-occupy his office.
