KAZO: RETIRED JUSTICE OF THE SUPREME COURT EULOGISES LATE GEN. TUMWINE.

The retired justice of Supreme Court Ezekiel Muhanguzi and resident of Kazo district was among the mourners who converged at Mukuru village in Rwemikooma sub county ,Kazo District to bid farewell to the fallen General Elly Tumwine.
Justice Muhanguzi says he has known the deceased Elly Tumwine since childhood when he was eight years old. Muhanguzi adds that Tumwine has been a down to earth person inspite of his high military honours, and urdent christian, very active member in church of Uganda and even to other christian churches on top being a friend of all the people in the area.
Justice Muhanguzi further described late Gen Elly Tumwine as a no nonsense person who would not tolerate any rubbish and was not there to please everybody but to do job thoroughly though some people were not happy.
Commenting on fighting corruption that has crippled the development in Uganda, Rt Justice Muhanguzi, says Gen Elly Tumwine has been a corrupt free person himself and never started the struggle verbally but also in his own life.
He described corruption as evil in society which doesn’t need to be fought by single individual or small groups of people but everyone.
The archdeacon Rwemikooma church of Uganda Ven Rev Benon Baraire hailed the late for being a generous christian in helping on convension and helping the church mission.
The cousin brother to Gen Elly Tumwine and the Kiruhura district councilor representing Nyakashashara sub county Andrew Rwakishaija described late Elly Tumwine as a friend and a great man who played an important role in shoot the first bullet when they attacked the barracks that brought NRM to power.
The late General Elly Tumwine who succumbed to Lung cancel at Aghan hospital in Kenya at the s is expected to be offered a state funeral today {Tuesday) at his ancestral home in Mukuru village ,Rwemikooma sub county ,Kazo District.
