The Right Reverend Gaddi Akanjuna, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, presided over a momentous occasion on Tuesday, confirming 186 individuals into the Anglican faith at St. Mark Kagyera Church of Uganda Parish in Kakere Archdeaconry, Bufundi Sub County in Rubanda West County Rubanda District.
During his sermon, which drew inspiration from the Book of Luke 10:23, Bishop Akanjuna encouraged Christians to always walk alongside God, regardless of the challenges they may encounter on their journeys.
Bishop Akanjuna commended the faithful for their commitment to the Word of God, urging them to adhere to the principles and guidelines set forth by the Church as a means to achieve prosperity.
He implored the confirmands to establish a spiritual connection with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit they had received, and stressed the importance of respecting their parents.
In addition to these spiritual matters, Bishop Akanjuna emphasized the need for unity within families, pointing out that modern times have witnessed an unfortunate increase in family discord, which hinders the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
Bishop Akanjuna expressed gratitude to the Christians of St. Mark Kagyera Church of Uganda for their generous contribution of 2,127,300shillings towards paying the radio workers and covering other radio-related expenses.
