KIKUUBE RDC TIPS RESIDENTS ON FIGHTING FAMINE

Amlan Tumusiime the Resident District Commissioner {RDC} Kikuube has urged residents to desist from planting Sugarcane if they don’t have enough land.
The call was made on Wednesday in an interview with our reporter.
Tumusiime requested farmers to always be mindful of the land they have before they go for sugarcane growing which has left many of the farmers unsure where to grow food for their families.

The presidential representative also requested farmers to plant cash crops and add value to them in order to prepare for the available market in oil and gas.

Rt. Hon. Robbinah Nabbanja the Prime Minister of Uganda has several times warned farmers with less land to desist from growing sugarcane if they are to defeat famine.
‘’If you have less land don’t grow sugarcane,’’ she said.
