KING MUMBERE’S THRONE THREATENED AS TIBAMWENDA CLAIMS KINGSHIP

Prince Swalleh Tibamwenda Basikania has denounced the current king for Obusinga Bwarwenzururu Charles Wisely Mumbere and Robert Bwambale Tibamwenda as kings of the mockery for Bakonzo Kingship in Kasese.
Prince Basikania 61, who claims to be the true king of Obwami, Bakonzo the hereditary kingship institution is a son to Gorge Basikania of Maliba Sub County, Kachwa Bwemi village Bukonzo constituency Kasese district.
He is claiming to be the crowned prince for the traditionally historical Obwami ;the true hereditary kingship for Bakonzo.
Prince Basikania discloses that Omusinga Mumbere has never been the legitimate king for Bakonzo and there has never been any kingship called Obusinga.
He has described Obusingsa as a political institution created to please a few individuals like FDC.Pirnce Basikania added that Omusinga Mumbere’s coronation only caused divisionism among the people of Kasese.
Prince further stated that he has written to the parliament, ministry of gender and culture and spoken to the president thus he is acting in the right manner.
He has also described Robert Tibamwenda who recently claimed to be the real king of Bakonzo as a dramatist or an actor in cultural leadership comedy and melodrama.
Bwambale Nelson Ndyanabo the chairperson Bakonzo /Bamba Traditionalism Association said that since Mumbere was installed he brought divisionism among the Bakaozo leading to kill each others.
He further asked the government to intervene into the matters of Bakonzo so as to bring back sanity in the area.
Omusinga Mumbere who is under incarceration in Kampala was charged with several counts ranging from murder to treason where over 100 people died in Kasese in November 2016.
