Christians of King of Kings Pentecostal church in Sanga Nyabusozi Kiruhura district are in fear after their church was allegedly demolished by unknown people on Monday 31st August ,2020.
Bishop Sylus Tayebwa who is the senior pastor of the mother church King of Kings Mbarara has revealed that the land where the church sits had previously been given out to money lenders as collateral security by a pastor who is still at large and the matter is in court.
One of the money lenders who is currently among the suspects identified as Yasin Sango had agreed with the church to be paid UGX 1 million and later UGX 500.000 until the church completes the 9 million debt.
Bishop Sylus however told www.mknewslink.com reporter that when Yasin returned from Luzira prison, under unclear circumstances despite facing murder charges, he demanded for a full pay.
The Bishop said when they received news of the church being down, they thought it was wind, only to find Yasin at the scene who warned them against accessing the land.
“We have reported to the Police and we need justice, Kiruhura leaders and others should come to our rescue,” The man of God added.
