KISORO CID SUMMONS MUTOLERE PRIMARY H/M OVER MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF PUPIL

The Criminal Investigations Department at Kisoro Main Police has summoned the head teacher of Mutolere Primary School over the mysterious death of an 11-year-old pupil at the school.
Dan Gasore the deceased was a primary three pupil who was allegedly hit on the head by his teacher Pascal Hakizimana for failing to understand the classwork.
Hakizimana, a resident of Bugara Village, Gisorora Parish Nyakabande Sub County and father of five children has since disappeared, switching off all his known telephone numbers.
New details have emerged that, the pupils in Primary 3B, the class of the deceased had been coached by their teachers on what to tell the Police during interrogations.
Upon deeper interrogation by Police, some eyewitnesses (minors) admitted that on that fateful day, their teacher Hakizimana Pascal hit Gasore in the head.
Police has since released a statement indicating that on the 9th of March 2023, while at Mutolere Primary School at around 4pm, Gasore Dan in Primary three was assaulted by Hakizimana who used a hard object to hit him on the back of his head.
Gasore went home crying and was given medicine from the clinic, but his condition worsened necessitating his parents to rush him to the hospital.
On the 11th of March 2023, while receiving treatment at Kisoro Hospital, Gasore breathed his last.
The Director of Studies at Mutolere Primary School Valence Tabaro said the school administration is not aware of the whereabouts of the accused teacher because his phone is off, and he ran away from home.
Tabaro said that the school is at a great loss of losing a bright pupil adding that they are mourning with the family of Mr. Hilary Tumusiime.
Kisoro Deputy Resident District Commissioner Robert Tukamuhebwa says that the matter is now a criminal case which will be handled expeditiously.
