KISORO DISTRICT BOSS WARNS UMEME: WE SHALL DEMONSTRATE IF YOU DON’T IMMEDIATELY RESPOND

Residents in Kisoro district have decried the continuous power outage in the district.
Power supply in Kisoro district has been unstable for a long time and UMEME is silent on the matter which has angered residents whose businesses depend on electricity.
Residents whose businesses depend on electricity especially welders, stationary and saloon operators say that they are counting losses over unstable electricity in the district.
They appeal to leaders to intervene and order Umeme officials to resolve the problem.
Kisoro LCV chairperson Abel Bizimana noted that the power outage issue in Kisoro was one of matters he had prepared to present before President Museveni adding that it is unfortunate that the visit by the fountain of honor has been cancelled.
He revealed that the continuous power outage in Kisoro is caused by incompetence of UMEME and UECDL officials.
He threatened to mobilize residents and demonstrate should Umeme fail to resolve the current problem of power outage in Kisoro.
Umeme manager Kisoro branch Wathum Selestino declined to speak to our reporter and referred our reporter to Umeme national spokesperson.
