KISORO DISTRICT TO CRACK DOWN THOSE VIOLETING SOPS

This was revealed yesterday by Dan Ndikumwami the Deputy Resident District Commissioner – Kisoro in the district taskforce meeting held at Kisoro district council hall.
Among resolutions from the meeting was that all bars in Kisoro district must close as the president of Uganda directed, and those who will be found operating in bars will be arrested and fined Shs200,000 as well as serving two months behind bars.
Ndikumwami also warned bar owners who were operating illegally to close with immediate effect and further warned boda bodas and food venders including chapattis and chips dealers to always close by 7:00PM.
He called up on retail shop owners and restaurants to avoid selling alcoholic drinks and always close before 7:00 pm and highlighted that corona virus is on high rise. The presidential representative has also threatened to arrest those gathering for prayers.
“All those who are to hold weddings and other parties are advised to write to the office of the RDC to seek permission to host parties, and should not exceed 20 in number as directed by the ministry of healthy.” He noted.
