KISORO: FIVE PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR FORGING LAND DOCUMENT

Police in Kisoro district are holding five people including a local council one chairperson on allegations of impersonation, forgery and uttering a false document to defraud.
The suspects are; Valence Iraguha, the local council one chairperson of Bufumfu village, Rwaramba parish, Nyakinama sub county, Jolly Nyirakalanzi, Nelson Nkurunziza, Yonah Singirangabo and Charles
Ntirenganya all residents of Rwaramba parish, Nyakinama sub county Kisoro district.
The suspects are accused of stamping and signing on a forged selling land agreement.
According to the Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Elly Maate, Ezra Byakatonda, a money lender in Kisoro district gave a loan of 300,000 shillings to Peace Nyirazibone, and she allegedly mortgaged the
husbands land, but in the agreement the chairman stamped and suspects signed that Nyirazibone sold the land at 5,000,000 million shillings cash.
Maate said that Nyirakalanzi stood in as the mother in law of the seller when she is not, Nkurunziza acted as the husband of the seller while others acted as witness.
He said that the suspects will be aligned before courts of law to answer charges accordingly when investigations are over.
