KISORO MAN DETAINED FOR KILLING FELLOW BY ASSAULT

In Kisoro—

Police in Kisoro district have arrested a man for allegedly assaulting a fellow resident which resulted into his death.

The suspect identified as Moses Mfitumukiza 20 years is a resident of Gatare Village, Muhindura Parish, Kanaba Sub-county in Kisoro District

According to Elly Maate the Kigezi Region on 01/07/2021 at around 1335hrs, Abel Tuyishabe 38 yrs a peasant resident of Gatare village , Muhindura parish, Kanaba Sub county in Kisoro District reported at Kanaba Police Post  that Moses Mfitumukiza had assaulted Davis Tumushabe resident of the same address.

Maate said that the victim was rushed to Kisoro hospital for treatment only to be pronounced dead yesterday 2^nd July, 2021.

The Police PRO said that the suspect has been arrested, Postmortem done

He added that the scene of crime has been visited by SOCO and other Detectives while inquiries to establish the motive of assault are still at hand under file number murder vide Kisoro CRB 317/2021.
