KISORO MAN DIES IN BUS ON HIS WAY TO RWANDA

Police in Kisoro district is investigating circumstances under which a Rwandese man died on his way to Rwanda in Kisoro.
Elly Maate the Kigezi Region police spokesperson identified the deceased as Eric Habineza aged 20years a resident of Runyeheri village Nyarushamba parish Nyakariba sector Rubavu district Rwandan by nationality.
It’s alleged that, they came to Uganda in April 2022 and they went to Kasanda district to look for jobs, and in January 2023, the deceased fell sick and was taken to the hospital and was diagnosed with malaria which he was treated but never recovered.
Maate told journalists that on the 26/02/2023 the biological brother of the deceased identified as Sebumukiza decided to transport him back to Rwanda via Kisoro and used Horizon bus.
When they entered Kisoro district, on reaching horizon bus park, tried to wake him up, only to find out that he was dead.
Maate revealed that Sebumukiza immediately informed the management of the bus who took him to Kisoro police station on the 27/02/2023 and was taken to Kisoro hospital for postmortem.
Case file opened, body taken to the boarder with the brother pending handover to the Rwandan Authorities while Inquiries at hand.
