KISORO MAN HACKS TO DEATH HIS FOUR FAMILY MEMBERS

Police in Kisoro district are hunting for a 26-year-old man who cut his four family members to death.

According to Elly Maate the Kigezi region police spokes person, on Thursday 24th /9/ 2020 at around 2100 hrs the suspect Ndikumukiza Gerald a resident of Kageyo village, Busengo parish Nyarubuye subcounty Kisoro district got a sharp panga and allegedly attacked his four family members and cut them to death .

The deceased have been identified Sebitama Deogratious aged 80, Nyiraguhirwa Bonconsira 75 yrs , Mujawimana Maliserina 26 ,and Nyiramahoro Joan aged 20 

It is alleged that suspect first killedhis wife Mujawimana Mariserina, there after killed the Nyiramahoro joan the wife of the brother Habyaremye George, then proceeded to the father Sebutama Deogratious and ended with his mother Nyiraguhirwa Bonconsira.

The suspect is said to have arrived on Wednesday from Masaka where he had been working as a casual labourer with his brother Habyaremye George.

The cause of the gruesome murders is not known although he has a history of mental illness.

Police visited the scene, recorded statements from witnesses and four bodies are still at the scene pending post-mortem whereas the Suspect is still on run.
