In Sheema—
The chairman board of directors Kitagata financial services SACCO Mwebesa Emmanuel has revealed that there is no single coin stolen from the SACCO as alleged by some unnamed members.
Mwebesa Emmanuel yesterday told www.mknewslink.com managing editor at the SACCO headquarters in Kitagata town council that those who wrote a complaint letter to microfinance regulatory authority and never signed their letter are people who want leadership for the SACCO but members have always voted them out because of their bad characters.
Mr. Mwebesa added that the SACCO is stable and even external auditors’ report which was read to the AGM recently never revealed any loss of money from the SACCO.
He noted that all loans given out at the SACCO whether for staff, their spouses or members go through set up channels.
He went ahead to say that the members who wrote letters to Sheema DISO and MRA claimed that 100m had been stolen but he (chairman board) together with the SACCO committees of board carried out their own investigations and found out that there is no single coin lost from the SACCO.
The manager of the SACCO Ms Apofia Aine revealed that the SACCO is working very well and asked members be firm and ignore those few members who want to tarnish the name of the growing SACCO.
She asked members of the SACCO to buy more shares, come and take loans and pay back in time. She asked new members also to join Kitagata SACCO because it’s stable.
