KITAGATA SS COMMISSIONS NEW CLASSROOM BLOCK TO REDUCE CONGESTION.

Kitagata secondary school has officially opened up their new block that has three classrooms and an office.
Kikwaya Alexander , chief Administrative Officer sheema District as the chief guest noted that the work done is a great achievement for constructing a big block with everything in place in a period of only two months.
He added that in this world to get what you want you need to fight for it not easily getting it because you deserve it and thanked the board and management of Kitagata School for the mobilization to accomplish such project without the government support.
CAO further advised the school administration to establish big strategic plan including of more opportunities for the students even after their secondary level that the Ministry of Education will keep supporting.
Biryomisho Elly Baga, the Head teacher Kitagata SS highlighted the increase in the enrollment of the school as the major factor that triggered the plan for constructing a new classroom block.
The enrollment ultimately increased especially with senior one and senior five during the start of 2023 academic year almost to two thousand students.
The newly opened block is going to reduce on the congestion in classes which has been an unsolved issue and the school can now embark on more academic programmes or plans.
He further commended the teachers and students for the hardworking spirit with commitment to lift higher kitagata SS all over the country in academic excellence.
However , he says like any community of mixed personalities, there are some vices like escapism, intoxication among few number of students but as a school administration are doing all it takes to weed out these vices. They are currently going to install CCTV cameras and other ways of monitoring students.
On behalf of the OBS and OGS led by Charity Agaba in their umbrella Kitagata Old Students Association (KOSA) 1995 have rewarded the best performing students in the recent UCE and UACE results.
More so, every student at Kitagata ss has been gifted with scholastic items like pens branded KOSA 1995 as a way of old students showing their abundant support to both the school and students.
Agaba Charity further urged the student to desist and overcome vices like alcoholism and the current homosexuality evil majorly targeting the young generation.
The chairperson board of Governors Lydia Kamusiime Rwakishaya with great gratitude hailed the parents through their PTA committee for the huge support in academics at Kitagata SS and for funding the building of the new classroom block.
She also condemned the indiscipline cases among the students and appealed to them avoid such in order to strive for academic success.
Kitagata SS is one of the major seven secondary schools that were first established under the west Ankole diocese on church foundation.
The school is also government aided and the academic excellence is so high.
