KITAGWENDA DISTRICT REGISTERS FIRST COVID 19 CASE

Kitagwenda district has registered its first COVID 19 case since the outbreak of the disease in March.

The District Health Officer Dr. Christine Karungi says the patient is a cleaner at Ntara Health Centre IV.

Dr. Karungi told www.mknewslink.com that they suspect that the patient contracted the virus from another victim who succumbed to the disease in Ibanda district.

She explained that after developing signs and symptoms, the patient was transferred to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital where she is currently receiving treatment.
