KITAGWENDA VETERAN DIES OF HEART ATTACK WHILE CHASING HIS RETIREMENT GRATUITY

Grief and shock have engulfed veterans in Kitagwenda district after one of their own RA 009152 Twinamatsiko John died of pressure and heart attack while chasing his retirement gratuity on Friday last week 16th, Oct, 2020 

Twinamatsiko, a resident of Rwenkubebe village in Rwenkubebe parish Nyabani subcounty in Kitagwenda District went to the bank to check his account balance and found it empty yet he was expecting to find UGX 22 million.

The chairperson veterans League Kitagwenda District RA 007097 CPL Mpeirwe Emmanuel   said that as veterans they are facing hard time since most of them don’t have income sources and yet they played a big role in bringing peace in Uganda.

Some veterans lamented that they have been receiving money as little as shs 150,000 per month but it has also stopped.

CPL Mpeirwe Emmanuel there called upon President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to intervene and rescue them from this situation.

The Kitagwenda District boss Robert Mugabe promised to follow up their issue.
