KITENDE JUNIOR SCHOOL TEACHER MURDERED IN KISORO

Police in Kisoro district are investigating the circumstances under which a 55-year-old teacher was assaulted which later led to his death

Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate identified the deceased as Paul Byamugisha a resident of Mulinzi village in Muramba Sub County in Kisoro District and teacher at Kitende Junior School Entebbe.

According to Maate, the deceased was waylaid on Monday July 20th 2020 by unknown people as he returned from nearby Kidandali Trading Center and assaulted until he was unconscious.

Maate said that Byamugisha was discovered by passer-by who rushed him to Kisoro Hospital where he was admitted but unfortunately, succumbed to assault injuries one day later.

Maate said that Police have started investigations and they already have leads that may help in arresting the suspects.

The case of murder has been registered at Kisoro District Police Station under reference number CRB 453/2020 to help in investigations.
