KYANKWANZI DEPUTY RDC CONTRIBUTES POSHO, MILK TO KABALE DISTRICT COVID 19 TASK FORCE

The Kyankwanzi Deputy RDC Denis Nzeirwe has handed over 550 kg of posho, 200 litres of milk and bunches of matooke to the Kabale district Corona virus task force.
Nzeirwe contributed the foods after receiving an appeal from the public that people can no longer afford food because of the lock down.
Delivering items that included 550 kilograms of Posho, 19 bunches of Matooke and 200 liters of milk at the Kabale district head quarters Kabale Municipality, Nzeirwe who doubles as the Director peak Radio said that he was playing part in filling the gap of the enormous need that has been created by the pandemic.
Nzeirwe added that he was supported by Nzeirwe family which contributed 200 liters of milk, Mr. Denis Nzeirwe Family 500 kilograms of maize flour ,19 bunches of Matooke and Peak Radio 50 kilograms totaling to 55o kilograms.
He further said that his expectation is that the task-force will devise means of ensuring that relief items are donated in all parts of the district.
The chairperson Kabale district Covid 19 task force Darius Nandinda hailed Nzeirwe for his contribution towards helping the people suffering in this lock down.
He added that these items should help the people who don’t have what to eat under quarantine, patients in hospitals among others.
Patrick Besigye Keihwa, the Kabale chairperson LCV commended Nzeirwe for the great support rendered in these hard times of the outbreak of the pandemic.
Uganda is currently under lock down with a daily curfew from 7 pm to 6.30 am. The situations have put various people out of work and are thus not earning a living. This has prompted the government and other private entities to start donation drives to help those in need.
