Kigambo Sub County in Kyegegwa district is struggling to provide basic services to residents due to inadequate funding.
In 2014, the area was curved out of Hapunyo Sub County, following a resolution by the district council.
Councilors who pushed for the creation of the administrative unit argued that the split would take services closer to the people.
However, two years later, residents of the administrative unit located in Kyaka County, say that their lives were better under the previous administration.
They have no water services, Education is poor, and the roads are in a sorry state while rehabilitation of the only health center III has stalled due to lack of funds.
Talking to www.mknewslink.com reporter, Bernard Musana a resident of Kigambo parish says that service delivery has worsened since the elevation.
Musana explains that community roads in the area have deteriorated which has affected the transportation of agriculture produce to the markets.
