Speaking to our reporter in his office, the acting town clerk Ishaka division Gilbert Boona said that the executive committee meeting that sat few weeks ago sanctioned the cutting of trees to enable the division fence Kashenyi health center land and establish a demonstration farm as it was directed by the ministry of Agriculture under the production department
Boona informed saboteurs of development that the executive meeting is
the highest decision making body of the division adding that the town
clerk and the division chairperson who are the custodians of the
division property are accountable to the municipal mayor and town
clerk.
According to the letter dated 14th August, Edward Kiwanuka, the Municipal town clerk forwarded the matter to the division chairperson LCIII Deus Mucenga Owoyesiga since it falls to his area of jurisdiction. Mucenga however said that the town clerk has no case to answer since the decision was taken from the executive meeting.
