LIGHTNING KILLS 3 PEOPLE FROM THE SAME FAMILY IN RUBANDA

Locals in Rubanda district where left in a shock yesterday 12th March after lightning killed three people all belonging to one family due to heavy hailstorm.

The deceased where residents of Rwamuyora village in Nyarurambi Parish in Muko subcounty in Rubanda district.

The Kigezi Regional Police Spokesman Elly Maate has confirmed the incident and identified the victims as Kanunu Ambrose aged 35 years and his two sons, Asiimwe Justus aged 7 years and Habomugisha Arnold aged 5 years.

Maate told journalists that the incident took place on Sunday afternoon while the three were in their house during a heavy rain pour.

It’s now reported that the only survivor was the wife of Kanunu who is the mother of the 2 children identified as Uwimana Allen aged 32 years who was in the kitchen cooking supper at the time the lightning struck.
