LUMBER KILLED BY FALLING TREE IN RUBANDA

Police in Rubanda district are investigating circumstances under which a 69-year-old-Man has been hit to death by a falling tree.
Asp Elly Maate, the Kigezi region police spokesperson has identified the deceased as old Joram Tigumisirize a lumber also, resident of Buremba village Ikumba sub county Rubanda West County.
According to Maate, the deceased was hit and injured with a tree which they were cutting in the forest at Kiruruma village, Ihanga parish, Bubare sub county in Rubanda district.
It’s alleged that today, the deceased and his other colleagues were hired by Andrew Ayebare 32 Year-Businessman at Ihanga trading centre, to work in the forest of one Nchumwe at Kiruruma village.
Maate told journalists that today while the deceased and his colleagues were at work, a falling tree they had cut, fell on him injuring him seriously and died instantly as his colleagues were trying to organise to take him for treatment.
Maate says that scene was visited by officers from Bubaare police station, documented and post-mortem was done.
