LUNATIC MAN KILLS MOTHER OVER YET TO BE KNOWN REASONS

Police in Mbarara have in detention a 34-year-old man who allegedly assaulted his mother to death over yet to be known reasons.

The suspect Joseph Asiimwe allegedly attacked his mother Nakibule Restatuta aged 66 years with kicks and feasts from her bedroom in Kitojo cell, Katojo ward Nyakayojo division Mbarara city.

 It is also alleged that the suspect in the scuffle killed the mother whose body he later dragged to the path that leads to her house.

According to the Rwizi Police spokesperson ASP Samson Kasasira, the suspect has had a mental illness but the Police had to apprehend him to establish what could have forced him to kill his mother. 

Kasasira noted that so far, the motive of the murder has not yet been established as the body of the deceased was taken to Mbarara regional referral hospital for post-mortem.
