MAN ARRESTED IN KIKUUBE FOR MURDERING HIS 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER

Police in Kikuube district is holding a 25 years old man on allegations of murdering of his 3 years old daughter.

Its alleged that Solomon Baguma, a resident of kikuube town council on August 22nd 2022 seriously assaulted his daughter identified as Musiimenta over unknown reasons and injured her on the head, chest and both legs and since then the child has been receiving treatment at kikuube health center IV.

The child’s condition worsened on Sunday and she was pronounced dead by the health workers.

Area residents led by Ibrahim Mugenyi the kikuube town council LC III chairperson upon learning about the child’s death swung into action and arrested the father of the child and handed him to Kikuube central police station.

Mary Dafroza the child’s mother says the day her daughter was assaulted she was away and her husband threatened to kill her if she reported him to police.

The Albertine police spokesperson Julius Allan Hakiza confirmed the arrest of Baguma saying that he is at Kikuube central police station charged with murder.

Hakiza warned parents and guardians over assaults and corporal punishments of children.
