MAN ARRESTED WITH STOLEN TODDLER IN RUKUNGIRI

Police in Rukungiri are holding an unidentified man for attempting to kidnap an 8 month old toddler from Kebisoni Town council.

The suspect allegedly stole a child to Francis Bogere a coffee trader in Kebisoni Town council who hails from Garubunda.

The suspect was fortunately cornered by residents after a two hour search as he tried to sneak into a taxi with the child.

The father of the child says the suspect came to his shop and took advantage of the fact that his wife was busy doing household chores while the baby was learning to sit.

The suspect is currently being detained at Buyanja Police station and the case of child theft has been registered.
