MAN BITES OFF COLLEAGUES EAR OVER 200/= DEBT

David Muhumuza 17, a resident of Kibaali-Kitonde village Miirya Sub County Masindi district is at risk of becoming a deaf after his colleague bit off his left ear.
The offender, only identified as Tugume, a money collector at a theatre hall in Kibaali trading center, allegedly bit off Muhumuza’s ear due to a debt of 200 Uganda shillings.
It’s reported that the duo developed misunderstandings after Tugume demanded Muhumuza 200 Uganda shillings for watching a movie last weekend.
An eyewitness told our reporter that Muhumuza was rushed to a nearby Health Centre for treatment.
‘’I saw him bleeding and I had to mobilize people who rushed him to a nearby Health Centre for treatment,’’ he said.
The victim lamented and told our reporter that his ear is no longer functioning.
Imelda Kateba, the victim’s grandmother says she is struggling to raise money to treat her grandson adding that she’s worried that he may drop out of school if he is not treated.
‘’I’m calling upon the good Samaritans to help and arrest the suspect due to the disability caused on my son since he has lost the chance of joining some government institutions,’’ she requested.
According to Vigro Musinguzi, the area defense chairperson, the victim’s guardians have already reported the case at Masindi Central Police Station.
